Before you can start writing application for iPhone, you'll need the following things.

  1.  You'll need to sign up to become a registered iPhone developer at http://developer.apple.com/iphone/. that will allow you to download the iPhone SDK.

  2.  The free SDK also includes a simulator that will allow you to run most iPhone programs on your Mac.

  3.  You should be familiar with Objective-C language, If you have not programmed in Objective-C before, here are a few resources to help you get started.
